With over 20 years of Linux experience I humbly dare to say I’m good at it. I also have experience from several databases including Big Data (Hadoop and NoSQL). My journey started with a degree as a computer engineer and has been nourished with different courses.
I have a certification as a Red Hat system administrator, RHCSA, and experience from several other distribution. Programming has been a part of my profession, such as Python, Perl, Bash, C and assembler. Today programming is essential for automation and monitoring.
I run my own “server room” contaning firewalls, backupservers, DHCP and DNS and webservers. This page, as an example, is hosted on a virtual server in this server room. Some servers are virtual and some are a Raspberry Pi with different setups.
Other skills in this scope are knowledge about RAID, DNS, DHCP, network, wiki, wordpress and more.
Courses have been completed in MySQL, Postgresql, Perl, Linux, webservers etc.
Not everything are computers and servers. I also enjoy photographing as can be seen on the top of this web page and baking is another thing I seem to have a knack for. I have a certification as a pyrotechnician and sometimes I just enjoy reading a book.
